Every place has a musical story.

A street that became an album cover. A rehearsal space that helped a movement. A venue that made it into the credits of a live album. The house where an artist grew up and learned to write songs. For anyone who wants to find these places, the hard part has always been knowing where to look.

That's what led art director and music lover Bruno Leo Ribeiro to create B-Side Map on his own. A travel companion for anyone who loves discovering places through music history. More than 800 locations are cataloged across 12 cities around the world, with plans for continuous expansion.

Getting to know a city through its music means visiting corners that became lyrics, buildings that witnessed historic recordings, the entrance of legendary studios, venues that made music history, artist memorials, and iconic record stores.

It's for anyone who wants to follow David Bowie's footsteps through the streets of Soho, in London. Experience the Beatles' story in Liverpool. See the Ramones' New York up close. Feel the Los Angeles energy of The Doors. Live the joy of samba and bossa nova in Rio de Janeiro. Or imagine the creative atmosphere of Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden's Seattle.

That personal curiosity slowly became B-Side Map. Months of digging through books, album credits, interviews, archives, blog posts, and fan communities, brought together place by place, city by city.

The goal was never to build the biggest database. It is to help music fans experience a city differently.

Because every place reveals new layers once you explore it through its music.
